What is Academy Training?
At House of Dance we specialize in Academy Training where dancers attend classes multiple days a week and study 3-5 primary dance styles. We believe in raising well rounded dancers who can apply a multitude of styles to their choreography and their performance. Dancer’s in the HOD Academy follow a structured curriculum and work with our exceptional instructors who have experience in the professional dance industry.
Students focus on mastering the technical aspects of dance, including body alignment, strength, flexibility, and precision in movement.
In addition to technical skills, students also learn stage presence, expressiveness, and the ability to convey emotions through movement.
Academy Dancers will learn choreography for each style as well as opportunities to create their own. This helps them understand the process of developing and interpreting dance pieces.
HOD Academy dancers are provided with opportunities to perform in recitals, competitions, or showcases, giving them practical experience and the chance to apply what they've learned in a real-world context.
