The HOD dress code ensures that all dancers will have adequate mobility during class & rehearsal. Improper clothing can impact technique, precision, ability to grip the floor, and visibility.

Ballet.
Academy dancers are required to wear a solid black leotard, black ballet skirt, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Ballet sweater are allowed in class upon the instructors discretion.
If a student is not wearing the correct attire, it can be difficult for the instructor to correct alignment. Proper dress in ballet class can prevent injury and improve technique.

Jazz & Lyrical
Academy Dancers are required to wear a solid black leotard, black spandex dance shorts, & pink or nude tights. Dancers should wear jazz shoes to this class. Ballet shoes are allowed, however Jazz shoes are highly recommended.
Jazz shoes should fit snugly to protect your feet while allowing you to turn, kick, and jump across the floor.

Hip-Hop & Tap
For Hip-Hop, Academy Dancers are permitted to wear black leggings, sweat pants, or shorts. Dancers can either wear a black t-shirt, HOD shirt, or their black leotard. Dancers should wear lightly worn sneakers for Hip-Hop & tap shoes for tap class.
